Life before the Football Season…

First things first, you still have time to grab a cheap ticket to LIMF (Liverpool International Music Festival) taking place THIS weekend in the beautiful Sefton Park. You’ll get the chance to dance along to the top hits from artists such as Example, Wiley, Jax Jones and even DJ Tom Zanetti who you may or may not know did an exclusive performance on the very popular (but somewhat infamous) Love Island last week. This year is bound to be a big one given we’ll be celebrating the 10 year anniversary of Liverpool being crowned Capital of Culture so you don’t want to miss it!

We’ve also got the very popular Liverpool Pride coming up on the 28th July which is FREE to attend! This celebration gets bigger and bigger each year all around the UK but with Liverpool being such a diverse and inclusive city, it’s bound to be lots of fun! The event is about celebrating the LGBTQ+ community in the City and most importantly celebrating acceptance and inclusion for everyone! Sophie Ellis-Bextor will be headlining the main stage with additional appearances from the famous Courtney Act and lots of Liverpool’s favourite drag queens!

Fancy a quieter day out? Head on down to the World Museum to see the sensational Chinese Terracotta Army Exhibition. This is the first time the exhibition has moved to anywhere in the UK outside of London in 30 years so it’s definitely not to be missed! You will be lucky enough to see 180 spectacular ancient artefacts on display. They’ve even extended the opening times to include evenings and weekends now so there’s always a time slot to suit you!

Here’s one for the fashionista’s and shopping enthusiasts! Down on the Royal Albert Dock on the 13th-15th of July a fashion show is taking place. Not only a catwalk however… there’s market stalls, a DJ, food vendors and performances taking place throughout the weekend. If you fancy something different and have any gifts to buy, make sure to check this one out!

On top of these events, take your pick from the fabulous pubs and bars in and around the city, if the weathers nice there’s plenty of beer gardens and terraces dotted around. There are comedy nights, crazy golf courses, orchestras, theatre plays and lots more in this diverse, creative and most importantly fun city!
